This piece of Evansville history was built in 1974. He stood as part of an “Enchanted World of Christmas” display at the Old Courthouse in Evansville. He was later moved to Mesker Park, near the zoo. He was then moved to a Truck Stop at the intersection of I-64 and Indiana 41S and was enjoyed by many for the next 20 years. The truck stop was demolished in 2011 and this statue was hauled off to a junkyard in 2012 where he laid, face-down and abandoned for several years. In September of 2016, it was fully restored and set up in this new location for everyone to enjoy once again.
