You are invited to join us for a meet & greet potluck picnic on Sat. Sept. 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park on the beautiful Sebec River in Milo, Maine.
WE WILL HAVE 7 NEW CACHES PUBLISHED THE DAY OF THE EVENT!!
FOOD UPDATE:

The picnic will be potluck style-- bring a sandwich or something to grill for your own group, and if possible, bring a food item to share (chips, salad, dessert, etc.) Water, plates, napkins, utensils, and cups will be provided, but any donations of items would be appreciated. There is only one charcoal grill (we will have it ready) and one electrical outlet available, so cold foods might be best. We will have tables and a dozen chairs, but please bring your own folding chairs if possible. (Note: The park is wheelchair accessible, but the portable restroom will not accommodate one. However, there's a grocery store and restaurant nearby.)
We will have a geocaching icebreaker and other games, prizes (including one for the person who travels the farthest from their home coordinates), a chance to share funny caching stories, a trackable table, and seven new caches to be published during the event…some are ammo cans and most contain FTF geocoins! The grand prize will be a drawing for a complete ammo can hide with GC label, log book and swag!
There are many opportunities for caching and hiking in the greater Milo area. You could also bring your fishing poles or kayaks for the Sebec River (swimming is prohibited). Please respond if you are able to attend, and it would be helpful to list any food you plan to bring so we have a good variety. We hope to see you, and we encourage you to bring muggles who are interested in learning more about geocaching!
(NOTE: In case of rain, the event will be held downstairs at nearby United Baptist Church, 8 Pleasant St, Milo. [N45 15.252; W068 59.155] This is the big white church between the Milo Town Office and Post Office. Enter through the door out back under the ramp. Check this page the morning of the event for any weather-related updates.)
