Name the Golden Horseshoe Region represented by this coat of arms
The arms were granted on December 11, 1993. The coat of arms is based closely on the County emblem which was adopted in 1853. The design incorporates a lion and lamb - the biblical allegories of peace and prosperity - as well as seven trilliums which represent the seven area municipalities, and the Region's place in Ontario. Above the shield is a mural coronet, a traditional symbol of municipalities. The overall colour of the coat of arms may give you a clue as to where it represents.
