El Lugar
Iruya es un pequeño y pintoresco pueblo de la provincia de Salta, Argentina, conocido y visitado principalmente por sus impactantes paisajes naturales, pero también por la forma en la que se preservaron en su gente hasta el día de hoy rasgos de la cultura de los pueblos originarios del lugar, y por los vestigios vivos y tangibles de éstas culturas que se revelan en ruinas arqueológicas naturales, tradiciones y creencias religiosas que subsisten y conviven con el cristianismo, e incluso en el idioma que su gente sigue utilizando para comunicarse entre sí.
Existe un único camino que llega hasta Iruya: desde la ciudad de Humahuaca, en la provincia de Jujuy, se debe tomar la ruta nacional n° 9 hacia el norte. Tras recorrer 26 km. aproximadamente por la quebrada, se llega al empalme con la ruta provincial n° 13, un camino de tierra que se desvía de la ruta 9 hacia el este (el desvío está señalizado). Tomando este camino, se deben recorrer aún 54 km. aprox. pasando por el pueblo de Iturbe y algunos otros parajes. La ruta transita el desolado y árido paisaje de puna a medida que remonta la sierra de Santa Victoria, límite geográfico de la quebrada de Humahuaca, hasta llegar al punto más alto de su recorrido en el abra del Cóndor, a una altura de 4000 metros s.n.m. aprox. A partir de allí, se puede empezar a percibir un cambio progresivo en el clima, flora e incluso fauna, visto que se está penetrando una zona de transición entre la puna y la yunga. En el abra del cóndor se ubica también la frontera entre Jujuy y Salta (Iruya hace parte de esta última). A partir del abra, quedan 20 kilometros de descenso aprox. hasta llegar al pueblo, a 2800 s.n.m.
El camino, sobre todo en verano, es casi imposible de transitar si no en un vehículo todo terreno, y exige cierta experiencia por parte del conductor; se transitan zonas de cornisa, se deben cruzar ríos y no es poco común que en las zonas altas del recorrido haya nieblas densas que reducen drásticamente la visibilidad.
Existen dos empresas de colectivos que realizan recorridos diarios de la ciudad de Humahuaca a Iruya y viceversa; los boletos de ambas pueden ser adquiridos en la estación de colectivos de Humahuaca, o en las respectivas oficinas en Iruya. Existen descuentos por la compra de boletos de ida y vuelta, con la fecha de vuelta abierta durante un mes como plazo máximo.

In the Abra del Condor, the border between Jujuy and Salta is also located (Iruya is part of the latter). From the opening, there are 20 kilometers of descent approx. until reaching the village, at 2800 s.n.m.
The road, especially in summer, is almost impossible to travel if not in an all-terrain vehicle, and requires some experience on the part of the driver; cornice areas are crossed, rivers must be crossed and it is not uncommon for dense fogs in the high areas of the route that drastically reduce visibility.
There are two bus companies that make daily trips from the city of Humahuaca to Iruya and vice versa; Both tickets can be purchased at the collective bus station in Humahuaca, or at the respective offices in Iruya. There are discounts for the purchase of round trip tickets, with the return date open for one month as maximum term.

Cuando buscar el cache
En Argentina el Geocaching todavía no es tan popular como en otros países, y es común que los geomuggles roben los cachés por simple diversión. Por lo tanto, busca y recoge el cache cuando nadie esté mirando, siempre intenta pasar desapercibido. y luego deja el caché tal y como lo hayas encontrado!
