Ambientada num rancho do Colorado, The Ranch traz Colt, um jogador semiprofissional de futebol americano que volta do banco de reservas para ajudar a tocar a fazenda da família com seu irmão mais velho Jameson “Rooster” e seu pai Beau, a quem ele não via há 15 anos. Maggie, a mãe de Colt e Rooster é gerente do bar da cidade mais próxima.

Set on a Colorado ranch, The Ranch features Colt, a semi-pro football player who comes back from the bench to help play the family farm with his older brother Jameson "Rooster" and his father Beau, whom he did not see 15 years ago. Maggie, Colt's mother and Rooster is manager of the nearest town bar.
