Geocache Description:

Cute little park in White Rock named after Irene Maccaud Nelson. Irene was born in 1897 to Francis William and Lucy Maccaud. She spent her childhood in the American midwest with her brother Victor Emmanuel and later moved to Vancouver where she attended King Edward Highschool. Irene got to know and love the small town of White Rock and chose to settle down there after her divorse from her husband- Walter Nelson. Irene ran into money problems and apealed to the White Rock City Council in an effort to save her farm. She got her property turned into a park in exchange for allowing her to live in her house for as long as she was alive. In 1978 (the year of Irene's passing) Maccaud park was open to the public.

This cache is in plastic container, large enough for small trades. Maccaud park is divided in two by Russel St. Cache is hidden in the secound section of the park (not beside Earl Marriott Secoundary).

Have fun and good luck!
