Geocache Description:

This container is found in the entrance of the house so to not have to enter the house itself.  It is in an ice cream pail with a tight lid and labeled as an official geocache.  This geocache is located at the 'sod house' right along Highway 13.  We named it the 'sod house' however, unlike a real sod house where the walls are made with sod pieces stacked layer upon layer, this particular house has clay and sand mixed into mud with a type of stucco or cement outer wall and an interior wall with mud topped with an oil cloth left to dry and then wall paper layered over the top of that. Upon peeking into the entrance you can see that it is not in livable condition and looking through the window it shows how thick the walls are.  Through stories handed down we think it was built sometime int he early 1900's.  There was a family living in it as late as the 1970's.
