The "Tidal Path" goes alongside one of Europe´s strongest malstroms/tidal currents. The strongest is outside Bodø - Saltstraumen. Tidevansstien is a peaceful walk on the other side from Inderøy´s centre - Straumen. From Tidevannsstien you can view the old town centre and enjoy the birdlife that occupies a lot of the area. Near the cache you can sit down, bring your lunch or even use the barbecue.
Golden Caches
Inderøy is a municipality in Trøndelag. Inderøy has almost 7000 inhabitants. Farming, construction, food processing and tourism are the largest sources for employment. Inderøy literally means "The Inner Island" but is, in fact, a peninsula. It is known to be picturesque and has several beautiful farms. One of the old roads, or routes, that leads you through Inderøy is often referred to as "The Golden Road/detour" (Den Gyldne Omvei in Norwegian). Sights, hiking trails, beautiful old and maintained farms and businesses that accommodate travellers are visible from the route today. In June 2018 nine caches were placed alongside this route.
