Geocache Description:

Welcome to Akron's Northside Arts District. This area of Akron consists of many new apartments/lofts, a hotel, restaurants, art galleries, sidewalk sculptures, and a freshly painted street mural. This is an easy ten phase multi which will take you for a leisurely walk within the district. To find the final you will need to gather information at various stops along the way. Keep track of your numbers and apply them as follows:

N 41 AB.CDE  W 81 FG.HIJ

A. As you make your way to the parking area you will see a Zen inspired street mural that has been recently painted by 80 volunteers. This colorful mural was inspired by local artist April Couch in which she gave the area a "Spacelift". This mural is divided in half by a sidewalk, hence a north side and a south side. Beginning on the south side count the number of black circles and subtract that from 15. This represents A.

B. Continue north on the street mural to the north of the sidewalk divide.  Count the number of black circles. This represents B.

C. In the same north section of the mural count the number of red circles. Add 1 and divide that number by 10 to give you C.

D.Look for the black eyed susan flower sculpture N 41 5.271 W 81 30.925. There is a number at the bottom indicating how long Q it has been growing in our back yard. Add the middle and last number together. This represents D.

E. Cross the parking lot to the west at N 41 05.280 W 81 30.964 to another building that has three bullseyes attached to it. Count the number of darts which have a yellow end. This number represents E.

As of 6/10/2019 there is only one bullseye remaining. Use "1" for E.

F. Heading north on the west side of the parking lot to N 41 05.295 W 81 30.941 you will approach a black metal fence with sculptures on it. Look for the section with the canoes being portaged. How many canoes are there? Take this total and multiply it by 3 and then divide by 5. This is F.

G. Continue along this metal fence northward and you will find a sculpture of a train. How many cars, including the engine and caboose are there? Subtract this total from seven to get G.

H. Continue your walk north to N 41 05.312 W 81 30.941 where you will reach a large silver fish sculpture. We believe it's a catfish but either way it's a large fish with long whiskers.  At the bottom is a plaque with a dedication date. Add the four numbers of this date together and subtract 16 to get the number for H.

I. Cross the parking lot and head east to N 41 05.317 W 81 30.918. There you will find a black metal trash receptacle with some art design on the top of both sides.  Count the number of n's on each side and add it to the number of o's on each side. From this total subtract 5 to arrive at I.

J. Continue east to N 41 05.306 W 81 30.898. As you approach these coordinates there are several metal sculptures on the sidewalk.  Count the number of birds from these sculptures.  This represents J.

After you gathered the required numbers, the final is a short walk away or you can find ample parking within feet if you drive. We had a great time looking around this area while we were putting this multi together and we hope everyone who participates in working on this multi will take some time to appreciate the hard work and craftsmanship to make this an appealing destination. Thanks and good luck.

Congratulations to CarpenterLuvaKatCrew for the FTF.
