The Church
St John of Jerusalem’s Church was once was the property of the Knights Hospitallers and closed its doors more than 50 years ago. Sadly, this Grade II listed building is now semi-derelict, and the parish of Ballingham with Bolstone has been formally amalgamated with Little Dewchurch and Aconbury to form the new parish of Little Dewchurch with Ballingham.
The Church can be seen over the gate near to the geocache.
Access
The Church itself is on private property and there is no public access.
The parking waypoint will provide off road space and the geocache is just a short walk away.
The Settlement
As for Bolstone, this village is even tinier than Ballingham! Situated 5.6 miles south of Hereford the 2001 census registered a population of only 34.
