Geocache Description:

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE LISTED COORDINATES

Death adders are masters of camouflage, their patterning blending in particularly well to their surroundings, you can easily look directly at them and not see them.

The common death adder (Acanthophis antarcticus) is a highly venomous snake, with a 50-60% untreated mortality rate. It is also the fastest striking venomous snake in the world, and can strike, envenomate its prey, and be ready to strike again in 0.15 seconds.
An ambush predator, a death adder lays in wait for its prey. Often laying underneath the leaf litter, sometimes for days at a time, it wriggles the end of its tail as a lure and strikes when prey investigates. Unlike other snakes that flee from approaching humans crashing through the undergrowth, common death adders are more likely to sit tight and risk being stepped on, making them more dangerous to the unwary bushwalker. They are considered non-aggressive, and are said to be reluctant to bite unless actually touched.

Ground zero is along the Great North Walk, from differing parking spots expect a return walk of 2-3km. The cache is a bison tube. Small pencil within if you forget yours....
