A series of 12 caches starting at the lovely St Helens picnic site at Santon Downham. This circular walk is about 7km - 4 1/2 miles long and takes you through Thetford forest and along the Little Ouse river back to St Helens. You will need to cross over two bridges but they are wide enough to take buggies and wheelchairs although there are some steps at the second bridge. The track from #9 to #12 can get muddy during wet weather and very sandy during a dry summer. There is plenty of free parking at the start where you will find public toilets (open during the summer months) and lots of space for picnics too.
Permission has been kindly given by the Forestry Commission and placed in accordance with their conditions. Please follow their guidelines and keep dogs under control and please clean up after them.
