Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Mathmagical land of Kansas City! You know of its fountains, its barbecue, its night-life, and more, but now you're about to embark on a Mathmagical tour of Math puzzles that will also take you to some interesting locations in the city.

This is not meant to be a single quick grab. It involves solving seven puzzles (including the one on this page) and visiting seven locations around the city, each one involving finding and scanning a QR code. The stages are set up to be done in order, but it's not necessary to do all of them at once. In the end, you'll be taken to an interesting location where you'll find the final geocache.

You will need a QR code reader to complete this geocache.

So let us begin...

This image shows several different squares, all arranged together to form a rectangle.

If the areas of squares C and D are 64 and 81 respectively, what is the area of the large rectangle?

Click on the checker to validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
If your answer is correct, you'll receive further instructions to get to the next stage of this Mathmagical adventure.
