After last year's successful event at the Temple of Concord & Victory, I thought I'd host another at Stowe as it was a fun gathering at a great location. If you didn't attend last time, I hope to introduce you to Stowe. If you did come in 2017, I look forward to welcoming you back and showing you a new bit!
Also a chance to hear about our plans for the Winter Geolympix Mega which is being held at Ashridge Estate, Berkhamsted, Herts on Saturday October 27th 2018.
When: Saturday September 8th 2018, from 10-11am. Bring a picnic breakfast? Gardens open to the public 10am-5pm, but mention Geocaching and they'll let you in from 9am - We have the gardens to ourselves for an hour!
Where: The Temple of Ancient Virtue, Stowe Gardens, Bucks - Please note there's FREE ENTRY to Stowe on the day of this event! The nearest toilets are at the visitors' centre at the house, a few minutes walk away, but it gives cover from the sun (or rain, but that won't happen).
Why: Stowe is always lovely. Extra lovely when it has FREE ENTRY!
Helpful Info: See the additional waypoint for parking. You can get a free ride from there to the entrance and back, but then you've a walk through the grounds (see suggested route waypoints to get the most out of the site) to GZ. Dogs are fine, but keep them on the lead please. The event location was chosen with NT approval. Loos also close to parking, as is the NT cafe.
