Na začetku Tamarske doline leži Nordijski smučarski center Planica. V glavni stavbi, centru za tek na smučeh in smučarskih skokih, je opazovalna paluba, Muzej Planica na dveh nadstropjih in gostinski objekti. Tudi pohod na Tamarsko kočo je zelo dober.

Am Beginn des Tamar-Tales liegt das Nordische Skizentrum Planica. Im Hauptgebäude, dem Zentrum für Skilanglauf und Skispringen, befinden sich eine Aussichtsplattform, das Museum von Planica auf zwei Etagen und Catering-Einrichtungen. Auch eine Wanderung zur Tamar-Hütte ist sehr lohnenswert.

At the beginning of the Tamar Valley lies the Nordic Ski Center Planica. In the main building, the center for cross-country skiing and ski jumping, there is an observation deck, the Planica Museum on two floors and catering facilities. Also a hike to the Tamar hut is very worthwhile.
