St Alban’s Church is sited at the junction of Carr Hill Road and Windy Nook Road Gateshead. This church was built and opened in 1842. Nearby Kell's Quarry, provided the sandstone and grindstone used to build the church which is a Grade II listed building and a principal landmark in the village.
