Geocache Description:



Another lovely Yorkshire Village,
Church. 1864. J. Lowe. Sandstone ashlar. Slate roof with bands of pale green.
4-stage west tower with broach spire. 5 bay aisleless nave, 2 bay chancel with
3-light east window with glass by Capronnier c.1874. Austere lancet style.
Arch-braced collar roof structure. Memorial slab to north chancel wall of c.1700.
Anglo Saxon cross shaft with interlace pattern and simple rough front, possibly
Norman, in base of tower.
Oh, the cache is outside church grounds and placed with permission by the Yorkshire Wildlife trust.
