Bug Bertha was a large Howitzer artillery piece the German army used during WWI and WWII. It had a 16.5 inch barrel. The allies began to refer to any German artillery piece "Big Bertha". The term also is used for any especially large example of anything. Something here made me think "Big Bertha"
