Geocache Description:

Come join us to celebrate Earth Day and CITO on Sat. April 28th, 8:30 -11:00am at Watson Lake in Prescott.

Our mission: Focus on litter clean up, enjoying the camaraderie of fellow cachers, with the possibility of finding geocaches along the way. This event is for walkers and boaters. Terrain will vary depending on where you choose to go. Meet at posted coordinates north of restrooms in parking lot near the boat DOCK. At 8:30am we will confirm plans, sign a logbook, and take a group photo. By 8:50am, we will set out on foot or launch our watercraft (if you have not already done so) .

What to bring/wear: Gloves, long sleeves and long pants, sunscreen, hats, WATER, snacks, hand cleaner, trash-grabbers (or special stick with a pointy tip), geocaching TOTTs, GPS and/or  geocaching app/phone, with a PQ of the area. Boaters may wish to wear water friendly clothing, life vests and take a dry bag (definitely for electronics). Trash bags will be provided. There are trash cans throughout the park where we can leave trash. Call if you have questions about kayak rental - 928-925-1410. UPDATE Born To Be Wild Adventures Tours & Rentals just confirmed they will be there with kayak rentals- if you are interested contact directly 499-5621

Caching options: There are a great number of gcs in and out of the lake. It will be a good day to grab some of those high D/T ones with the help of fellow cachers.

Parking possibilities: You can park in the free lot on 89 and walk down to the meeting site. If you go to the fee kiosk at the entrance, you can use a City of Prescott parking permit or pay $3.

Restroom facilities: Toilets and sinks are available near the entrance and at the meeting area.

Photos: Please take pictures of fellow cachers with all of the Trash OUT and post it on our event page!

Prizes:There will be prizes in a number of categories.

As a bonus, those attending any "Cache In Trash Out (CITO)" event will earn a new souvenir for their geocaching profile. The "event" officially ends at 11:00 am, but you can end early or stay late. Spread the word!
