Coming to Aachen, having left my home village by then, many years ago, to become a student, did open another universe for me: new people, new life conditions, the university - physics! Frightening. Exciting. A lot of needs for grounding ... and I did so by exploring, being curious for the new, and assisted by new local friends. In support of my efforts to adapt, and to settle in, and to link to the known, i was strolled around to explore and got to re-secure myself. This was when I first came to this special place - it is kind of mystic, beautiful in nature, and still lovely. Of course there are stories to it, not least the geological explanation about the origin of the water that is protruding here, from two near spaced well ponds, and giving rise to the formation of two streams with clear water, at least apparently. A place to cheer up an old person, to share the joy of life with friends, to walk a warm summer evening with a love, to comfort a baby in the settings of light, water, trees, and birds, to ... . Come pay a visit, and share.
