When? April 21st
Time 10am to 1:00 pm...You can stay longer if you like!
During the event you can choose your preferred areas of cleaning but be prepared. There are flat areas, creek beds, rock piles and very steep embankments not to mention the river bank. Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful will provide the trash bags and the City of Sparks final trash removal. All we need to do is collect the junk and get it to the designated pick up point.
Please wear long sleeves, closed toe shoes/boots, and long pants, KTMB will provide trash pickers, bags, plastic gloves, and a container for sharps if discovered.
Do not disturb any camping areas or other signs of people residing in the area but let organizers aware of these If found.
Don't forget to bring a hat, sunscreen, water and snacks
There are quite a few newer caches in the area also
Dogs are allowed but must be on leashes, kids are welcome but please keep an eye on them as there are hazards around, such as steep drop offs.
