About SideTracked

We have Motorway Mayhem. We have A-Road Anarchy (cos there aren’t many Motorways in Wales!). But what about public transport users? SideTracked Caches are intended to provide quick Cache-and-dashes at Train Stations.

Brighton Road is a former railway station situated near Balsall Heath in the West Midlands, England.

The station opened in 1875 on what was then the Midland Railway's Camp Hill Line. As with the other passenger stations on the line, it succumbed to 'wartime economy measures' in 1941 and never reopened. Brighton Road is situated in the heart of Balsall Heath.

In July 2017, it was proposed that the station could reopen as part of the plans to reopen the line through the site for passengers after the new metro mayor revised plans for the reopening of the line with a stop at Balsall Heath as well as Moseley, Kings Heath and Hazelwell. The station would be called Balsall Heath.

About the cache

You are looking for a magnetic sample tube cache at street level near to the site of the former station. The location is accessable by wheelchair but is quite a reach up to retrieve the cache.
