BENVINDO AO POWER TRAIL DO PICO DO JARAGUÁ
Sobre o Pico do Jaraguá
O Pico do Jaraguá é o ponto mais alto do município de São Paulo, elevando-se a uma altitude de 1.135 metros acima do nível do mar. Situa-se a oeste da serra da Cantareira. Nos seus arredores foi criado o Parque Estadual do Jaraguá, para conservação da área.
Pode-se ascender ao seu cume por uma via asfaltada (Estrada Turística do Jaraguá) e através da Trilha do Pai Zé (1450 metros de extensão). No topo, há duas grandes antenas, sendo uma de televisão (compartilhada por 3 emissoras: TV Globo São Paulo, TV Bandeirantes São Paulo e TV Cultura), além de pequenas instalações comerciais e locais destinados a estacionamento de veículos.
Ao se atingir o topo, tem-se uma bela visão da cidade, principalmente da parte oeste da Grande São Paulo. Também pode ser avistado Rodoanel Mário Covas, na parte posterior. Junto à antena de televisão, existe uma grande escadaria que permite subir ainda mais, ladeada por um bondinho que se destina ao transporte de pessoas e materiais para manutenção da antena.
Sobre a trilha
A Estrada Turística do Jaraguá, que leva ao topo do Pico do Jaraguá é asfaltada e pode ser percorrida à pé, de bicicleta e também de carro.
Para procurar os caches sugerimos que você faça a trilha à pé ou de bike, no sentido crescente do número dos caches, começando pelo #1 e seguinte até o #15.
No final da Estrada você encontrará uma área de Estacionamento, onde poderá deixar seu veículo, mas chegue cedo, pois costuma lotar nos finais de semana.
Distância total: 3,00 Km (só ida). Com 300m de desnível, entre os caches da Power Trail.

About the “Pico do Jaraguá”
The “Jaraguá” Peak is the highest point in the city of São Paulo, rising to an altitude of 1,135 meters above sea level. It is located to the west of the Cantareira mountain range. In its surroundings was created the State Park of Jaraguá, for conservation of the area.
It can ascend to its peak by an asphalted road (Jaraguá Tourist Road) and through the Trail of Father Zé (1450 meters in length). At the top, there are two large antennas, one of television (shared by 3 broadcasters: TV Globo São Paulo, TV Bandeirantes São Paulo and TV Cultura), as well as small commercial and local facilities for parking vehicles.
When you reach the top, you have a beautiful view of the city, especially the western part of Greater São Paulo. Also can be seen Rodoanel Mário Covas, in the back. Next to the television antenna, there is a great staircase that allows to climb even more, flanked by a cable car that is destined to the transport of people and materials for maintenance of the antenna.
About the trail
The Jaraguá Tourist Road, which leads to the top of the Jaraguá Peak is paved and can be walked, cycled and also by car.
To search for the caches we suggest that you make the trail walking or by bike, in the increasing number of caches starting with # 1 and following to # 15.
At the end of the road you will find a parking area, where you can leave your vehicle, but arrive early, because it usually gets crowded on weekends.
Total distance: 2 miles (one way). With a vertical drop of 1,000 ft, between the caches of Power Trail.
