VERY IMPORTANT RULES FOR THIS CACHE 1: This cache is a field puzzle. You will be able to spot the main cache easily but retrieving the log will be challenging.
2: ALL the tools you need can be found at GZ, do not use external tools (Those with larger fingers may need a pair of tweezers or needle nose pliers)
3: DO NOT TILT THE CACHE OR REMOVE FROM WHERE IT IS ATTACHED
4: ONCE THE LOG IS SIGNED USE THE TOOLS TO RETURN EVERYTHING TO STARTING POSITION!
The Funky Monkey's Pipe
Once upon a time, Malta was a land inhabited by a tribe of monkeys who spent their days swinging, climbing, and having fun. After a long day, the monkeys would gather together and smoke from a sacred pipe which, legend had it, was handed down from the first monkey to set foot on our island to keep unity and peace within the tribe.
The tradition was kept for millennia but over the past few centuries, the monkey population has declined due to the construction of buildings causing the trees which the monkeys called their home to disappear. Most of the monkeys, who were far more intelligent than us humans, fled to other lands, be it by ship or by plane, sneaking aboard undetected in the most ridiculous and innovative of ways.
The last few monkeys led by Manoel, the oldest and most wise of the group, spent their days on a little-known island quite close to the mainland, which later became known as Manoel Island. This group of stragglers left only recently, traveling to the lush rainforests of Brazil. Manuel left behind the sacred pipe in the hopes that one day the tribe could return to our island, and that in the meantime the artifact could bring peace and unity to the Maltese people. Inside the pipe, he hid a treasure which one can only lure out with positivity.
Once the treasure has been found you can head next door to a place created in memory of the ancient monkey tribe, thw Funky Monkey bar for some tasty food and drinks.
