This geocache is #1 in a series of caches entitled "The Secret Life of Larval Fish: A Geocaching Adventure."
About this cache: The deep submarine canyon of Monterey Bay is home to many strange looking fish. Some of these deep-dwelling animals produce equally odd larvae! Visit the cache to see if you can match larvae to their adult forms, and learn more about Monterey Bay's canyon. This cache is located on the back patio of the Seymour Center. Cachers have been given permission to enter from the path along the coast (just duck under the cable gate -- tell any employee that asks that you're just there for the cache! If you would like to check out the Seymour Center's exhibits, you'll need to go around the front and pay admission (a cool $6).
Help make this cache fun for future finders: Please leave the stamp and ink pad in the cache! Rehide the cache well!
About the series: Did you know that many species of fish have a larval stage that looks very different from the adult form? Fish larvae vary hugely in how they look, how they behave, and how they interact with their parents. Come explore the wide world of baby fish!
