Welcome to the First Ever Waymarkers Gathering. Waymarkers travel all over the World to take photos, gather information, and write up the location for Waymarks in over 1000 different Categories. Waymarkers rarely bump into each other, or plan a meeting with another Waymarker.
Waymarking is a Geocaching sister site at Groundspeak. Your name and password will get you into either Waymarking or Geocaching. On every Geocaching page is a line you can click on to "Find nearby Waymarks." Waymarks are like Virtual caches. They only require a photo taken by you during your visit as proof that you were there, and a sentence or two to discribe your visit. Some Waymarkers are prolific writers and have created Waymarks at over 1000 locations for you to enjoy. Some individuals have excelled and produced 5000, and even 10,000+ Waymarks for others to visit. Some Waymarkers are primarily visitors. Some Geocachers are also Waymarkers, both visiting and creating Waymarks. There are no restrictions on distance between Waymarks. There are over 100 Waymarks within 0.1 miles of this Event.

There will also be a Waymarkers table set up during the TXGA 16th Annual Texas Challenge and Festival on Friday evening and all day Saturday.
