Für alle, die sich am Flughafen Tegel ein wenig die Zeit vertreiben wollen, haben wir hier eine einfache Aufgabe zusammengestellt. Die Dose selbst befindet sich außerhalb des Flughafengeländes, ist aber zu Fuß zu erreichen. Ihr benötigt vielleicht eine Stunde, mit Rückweg zum Flughafen sind etwa 1,5km zurückzulegen. Der Flughafen ist informiert, respektiert aber bitte die Sicherheitsinteressen des Flughafens. Für die Beantwortung der Fragen müssen Sicherheitsbereiche nicht betreten werden. In der Zeit zwischen 0:00 Uhr bis 4.00 Uhr ist der Aufenthalt nur Fluggästen mit gültigem Flugschein gestattet.
1) An den Startkoordinaten findet Ihr den Namen des Flughafens oben am Gebäude. Nach welchem Luffahrtpionier wurde der Flughafen Tegel benannt? Wenn Ihr das nicht bereits entdeckt habt, könnt Ihr das aber auch nachher noch vom Parkplatz aus beantworten. Für A nehmen wir den BWW von Vor- und Nachnamen.
Nun geht es in die Haupthalle in die Nähe von Gate A0. Die Fotos und Wegpunkte könnten bei der Suche helfen.
2) In der Haupthalle findet Ihr neben einem an der Decke hängenden roten Flugzeug einen Wegweiser mit verschiedenen Zielen. Danach sind es z.B. 7353 km bis Peking. B ist die Entfernung nach Ulan Bator.
3) In der Nähe hängt an einer hellen Betonwand des Treppenhauses eine Gedenktafel zur Erinnerung an die Städtepartnerschaft mit Los Angeles. C ist die Jahreszahl auf dieser Tafel.
4) Geht in die Mitte der Haupthalle zu der großen Abflugtafel ganz links und notiert die Flugnummer des ersten ganz oben angezeigten Fluges. Uns interessiert hier nur die Zahl, ohne die Buchstaben. D ist dann die iterierte Quersumme dieser Zahl.
Geht nun weiter und verlasst die Haupthalle in Richtung der Besucherterasse.
5) In welche S-Bahnlinie könnt Ihr hier direkt am Flughafen Tegel einsteigen? Deren Nummer sei E.
Wenn Ihr hier nun mit der Rolltreppe nach unten fahrt, und vorsichtig über die Straße geht, kommt Ihr zum Parkplatz südöstlich des sechseckigen Hauptterminals.
6) Dort steht das große Kunstwerk "Wolkentor". An ihm findet Ihr ganz unten eine kleine Tafel. Von wem wurde das Kunstwerk entworfen? Die einfache Quersumme des BWW von Vor- und Nachname des Künstlers sei F.
Wann wurde das Kunstwerk geschaffen? Die Jahreszahl ist G.
Aus wievielen zylinderförmigen Segmenten bestehen jeweils die beiden Säulen. H = Anzahl.
Notiert auch I als die Quersumme von H
7) In der Nähe schwebt ein Heißluftballon aus Eisendraht. Daneben steht eine Infotafel, auf der der Künstler genannt wird. Der BWW von Vor- und Nachnamen ergibt K. Der Name enthält kein 's', schaut auf die Tafel...
Notiert auch L als die Quersumme von K.
Nun habt Ihr genug Daten zusammen getragen, jetzt gilt es ein wenig zu rechnen, um an die Finalkoordinaten zu gelangen:
xxxx = G + D * I + ( C + F ) / E - L * D
yyy = ( B + 1 - K - A * L ) * E / H
Das Final befindet sich damit bei: N52 3x.xxx E13 17.yyy

Should you have some time to spare at Tegel airport, we have put together a simple task. The container is located outside of the airport area but accessible on foot. The task takes approximately an hour, the distance there and back to the airport is approximately 1.5 km. The airport is informed about the cache, please respect the security interests of the airport. To answer the questions no security areas must be entered. In the period between 0:00 and 4:00 o'clock only passengers with a valid ticket are allowed at the airport.
1) At the starting coordinates you will find the name of the airport at the top of the building. What is the name of the aviation pioneer airport Tegel is named after? If you haven't discovered it yet, you can sort out the answer when you reach the car park later. For A we take the word value of the full name.
Now it's off to the main hall near Gate A0. The photos and waypoints may help while searching.
2) In the main hall next to a red plane hanging from the ceiling you will find a direction sign with various destinations. The distance to Beijing is e.g. 7353 km. B is the distance to Ulan Bator.
3) At a bright concrete wall of the staircase nearby is a plaque commemorating the city partnership with Los Angeles. C is the number of the year on this plaque.
4) At the centre of the main hall proceed to the large departure board far left and note the number of the flight shown right at the top. We are only interested in the number without the letters. D is the iterated checksum of this number.
You can now carry on and exit the main terminal towards the visitors terrace.
5) Which S-Bahn line can you board directly at Tegel airport? Its number will be E.
If you descend on the escalators here and carefully cross the road you reach the car park to the South East of the hexagonal main terminal.
6) There you encounter the large sculpture "Wolkentor" (Gate with clouds). At its base there is a small plaque. Who designed the sculpture? The simple checksum of the word valule of the full name of the artist will be F.
When was the scultpure created? The number of the year will be G.
How many cylindrical segments does each of the two columns consist of?. The number is H.
For I note down the checksumn of H.
7) Nearby is a hot air balloon made from steel wire. Next to it there is an information panel which mentions the artist. The word value of the full name provides K. There is no 's' in the name, look at the information panel...
Note down L as the checksum of K.
Now you have all the data and just need to do some calculations to obtain the final coordinates:
xxxx = G + D * I + ( C + F ) / E - L * D
yyy = ( B + 1 - K - A * L ) * E / H
The final destination is at: N52 3x.xxx E13 17.yyy
