Lizzie passed away in June of 2017. Lizzie didn’t do much caching with me, but did many hikes with me where we scouted out cache locations. She also has placed 6 other Lizzie caches – some are difficult, some are easy. This latest one, Lizzie told me in a dream that it should be difficult. To find the cache coordinates you first need to solve 4 “brain twisters” (Note – I believe the first one is the most difficult) and then do some simple math. However, the find will also be difficult. The “brain twisters” are as follows
- Find the next number (ABC) in the sequence: 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 22, 24, 31, 100, ABC
- A 12x30-foot room has a 12-foot ceiling. In the middle of the end wall, a foot above the floor, is a spider. The spider wants to capture a fly in the middle of the opposite wall, one foot below the ceiling. What is the shortest path the spider can take? The length of the shortest path is DE.F
- If you have a balance scale, what is the minimum number (G) of weights that can be used to weigh any integer number of pounds from one to forty. What is the maximum weight (H)?
- A circus performance is witnessed by 120 people who have paid a total of $120. The men paid $5, the women $2, and the children 10cents each. How many men(I), women(J) and children(K) attended?
