Have you ever gotten a notification for a new puzzle cache, opened the cache page, and stared at the screen trying to figure out a way to solve it, only to throw up your hands, give up and wish someone would just give you a nudge in the right direction? Well, I share your sentiment. I want to solve the puzzle myself, but sometimes just need a hint about where to start.
Spiritwolf922 and I have talked a lot about creating an event where fellow geocachers can put their heads together, brainstorm, and/or perhaps ‘get a nudge’ on how to solve a puzzle cache that might have been plaguing them for a while. After much discussion, and polling fellow cachers about the idea, I finally put together the event. The purpose of it is to get together and work on solving puzzle caches. It is NOT TO GET THE ANSWERS.
When you post your “will attend”, post the GC code for any specific puzzles you’d like help solving. That way, others who may be working on that cache can seek you out at the event or those who may have solved it could be prepared to give you a ‘nudge’. If you’re good at solving puzzles, please consider attending and helping those of us who could use a hint to get us started. Don’t have any puzzles to solve? Don’t even like to do puzzles? That’s okay; you’re still welcome to be part of the fun and geo-fellowship.
Here are the event particulars:
When: Saturday, February 24, 2018
