Cama Beach Resort opened in May 1934 and one family, Stradley-Risk, ran the resort for fifty five years until it closed in 1989. Over the years the rustic charm of the waterfront resort became a part of many people's annual vacations and memories, that tradition continues today as a Historical State Park.
Little has changed since the resorts earliest days. Step back in time and explore the mile of beach.
An early Cama Beach brochure exclaims the resort "combines the advantages of sea-shore and mountain ...without the discomforts of either."
Walk along the original entrance road to the resort. Even now it is the same as described in the 51st anniversary brochure, One of the Northwest's 'leave-it-the-way-Nature-created-it' vacation spots.
