This cache commemorates the successful record breaking 40km race from Léh to the Khardung La pass peak in 5,359 meters above sea level. The "We Love Cycling magazine" (https://www.welovecycling.com/wide/) brought four daring cyclists to beat the 3h 4m record created by Austrian athlete Christoph Kluge in 2012, which was bested on 23rd September 2017 by a Polish cyclist Bartosz Huzarski.
The cache is dedicated to all humans using their own strength to tackle the 1,800 elevation meters and the thin Himalayan air with just 50 % of the oxygen our bodies are used to in normal altitudes.
