Geocache Description:

Welcome to the 2017 NoVAGO Series: TRIBUTES17! This geocache is a tribute to the creative The Nightmare Before Christmas hides of Sassinmyheart. Her Witch's Cauldron, Skellington's Gargoyles, Zero Plays Hide and Seek, Pumpkin King's Cliff, Pumpkin King's Cave Across Accokeek Creek geocached in the Stafford Civil War Park inspired me to want to try my hand at bringing a Pumpkin King cache to life.

The hoped of TRIBUTES17 is to honor the experience of the original caches, but still put our own spin on the tribute hides. To me a Sassyinmyheart’s Pumpkin King hide should be crafty, have a creative title, and must be hidden in the woods somewhere. An Awesnap hide these days tends to have a stamp, a pretty cache page, and have a simple puzzle to solve. So I mashed those six things up in a witch’s cauldron and came up with “Ballad of the Pumpkin King.”

There is nothing at the posted coordinates. This is a puzzle letterbox cache placed at George Hellwig Memorial Park, solve the puzzle below to obtain the coordinates of this cache. This Park is open from sunrise to sunset. Night caching in Prince William Park Authority parks is expressly forbidden. For the puzzle, N 38 and W 77 are assumed.

This cache contains a code word for the bonus cache of the TRIBUTES17 series: GC7CXFE: TRIBUTES17 Bonus. Each cache in the TRIBUTES17 series can be found individually, but make sure you collect the clue inside. You'll need it to find the bonus! Each 3 letter digit character clue is hidden in plain sight in each container and is in the format "Z = A1!".
