Geocache Description:

A lovely drive in the Lower Cotter Catchment (SUV recommended) for an easy cache find.

I was out here caching and saw this imposing hill. Nothing like the mountains around here, but certainly 100 metres higher than Condor Hill and it didn't even appear to have a name. In fact I was going to call this cache Condor's Cousin, but the I noticed the road up here is named Lightning Ridge Road, so decided to rename it after I got home. So if you see Condor's Cousin written in the log book, you are in the right place.

I thought I had driven all the roads out here that weren't behind locked gates, but I must have missed one, because I could drive almost to the top of the hill, the trick will be finding your way here. There are lots of twists and turns and false tracks, so good luck. There is nothing much to see at GZ, but the views on the way up are fantastic. Just park at the given coordinates and take the shortish scramble up to the highest point. The good news is that there are NO BLACKBERRIES! Plus, keep your eye out for the old water tank.
