At about 5:15 p.m., arrive near the coordinates in Yuma Old Town near the fountain roundabout. Bring a newspaper, if you can. (A box of newspapers will be available for those who can’t obtain one, but may empty fast.) Find a place to stand or sit near the fountain, but do not enter the roundabout – yet. Please don’t cluster in large groups, but it’s fine to visit with your fellow geocachers in small groups. Be sure you are near the fountain.
At 5:25, stop talking, spread your newspaper out, hold it up, and look as if you are reading it. Some of you may sit on the curb, others can be on benches, and others can be standing. Just do not enter the roundabout yet. Keep on silently reading your newspaper.
At 5:29 whistling music will begin. Roll up your newspaper and calmly enter the roundabout. Face off with someone.
At 5:30 loud action music will start. Immediately, use your newspaper as a sword and begin “sword-fighting” someone. Everyone should be sword-fighting each other for the duration of the aggressive music. Be active and theatrical, but not brutal! This should be a fun game!
When the music stops, stop "fighting" and bow to each other. Whistling music will begin again. Leave the roundabout, find a spot to sit or stand, open your paper, and pretend to read until the music stops. Fold your paper and nonchalantly walk away.
While you are in Old Town, you may want to explore the great restaurants available or enjoy gathering with your fellow geocachers at any of the nearby watering holes.
