Little Bridges # 1319 Grimstone Leat Traditional Geocache

There are almost no bridges over rivers in the remote parts of Dartmoor. Walkers, riders and cattle, etc are expected to use the numerous fords. However, leats need special protection and there are normally bridges where they are crossed. Unfortunately this is not a classic Dartmoor clapper bridge, however it does cross a very typical Dartmoor leat.

I would like to thank the Dartmoor National Park Authority for their kind permission to place this cache, which has been placed according to the geocaching guidelines.

The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire.
