Geocache Description:

Located in Barefoot Beach Preserve, Bonita Springs, Florida

From traffic light on Bonita Beach Road, travel south through Lely Barefoot development for 1.9 miles to the bike rack in the southernmost parking lot in the park. On the way, you will need to pay $8 per car to enter park, unless you have a Collier County Beach Parking permit; it's also free to pedestrians and bicyclists, the latter highly recommended.

Near bike rack, on the short path leading directly to the beach, locate the Saylor Nature Trail, on your left, running south and you're on your way. (Some people have apparently been using another trail that leads from the southeast corner of the parking lot; this is NOT the way to go and will necessitate bushwacking, a practice that is frowned upon by the park rangers. PLEASE use the trail that is close to the northwest corner of the parking lot or I might be required to remove the cache. Thanks.)

Keep to trail until you reach lat. N26 17.669 and long. W081 49.936 and locate a clearing, (a buggy turnaround.) Go East, keeping to the left side of clearing and to its end; make your way to co-ordinates and start looking for cache in tupperware box.

It's a half mile hike from the bike rack to the cache, and another half mile if you want to continue to trail's end; it's well worth the effort though; you'll be rewarded with wonderful views of the beach and ocean and you'll feel just like Robinson Crusoe.

If you are approaching from the beach, please do not walk through the dunes (Florida state law.) There is a trail access point about 0.2 miles north of the cache at N26 17.833' W081 49.996' or about 120' south of the cache at N26 17.641' W081 49.952'.
