Twisted Tree Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Fox in Jox: Can't even find the replacement cache. Very overgrown and a twisted 'torched' tree. Time to put to bed.

Geocache Description:

Some trees in our wonderful forests and National Parks just seem to stand out from other trees for their amazing stature or strange shape.

As part of the Mt Clear loop, you'll come across some magnificent spots. Perhaps you might be doing the cache by mtbikeroz, aptly named "A CLEAR Loop" - we were!!!

Along the way, I spied an odd sight - a large tree that looked like it had been twisted and twisted and twisted. How very odd.

Why not use this spot as a chance to refuel before your ascent or descent (whichever way you're travelling).

Also, I'm keen to know why this tree has been twisted. Is it: the type of canopy that catches the wind in a certain way; the type of tree; a dodgy tree gene; the result of an alien spaceship that had anchored itself to the tree with 500m of special alien cable, in order to complete four or five good circles before releasing and being flung at high speed outside earth's gravitational effect?? Please tell me - I'd be fascinated to know.
