High Hilton Kirk dates from around 1935, when granite still ruled supreme in Aberdeen, when the High Kirk congregation relocated from the city centre.
Situated on the corner of Rosehill Drive and Hilton Drive this church sits overlooking the roundabout known locally as the five roads roundabout, although due to the fact that Rosehill Drive opens onto Hilton Drive almost at the roundabout it is known by some as the six roads roundabout.
Old maps show the Hilton estate covering this area which was purchased by the city council in the 1920s to provide for new housing. Many of the houses built in this area at that time were to a standard design by Peter Bisset & Sons (no known relation) and sold as Bisset Houses in the same way that today you see Barratt Houses and Wimpey houses etc.
