Gilcomston Park Baptist Church was opened in 1887 but the congregation moved to the former Church of Scotland John Knox Church on Gerrard Street in 1980. The Gilcomston Park Church has latterly become Aberdeen City Church.
Being a central city location there are a few other churches and places of worship nearby. On Rosemount Viaduct there is the Bon-Accord Free Church with it's distinctive tower, and just round the corner the Jehova's Witnesses Kingdom Hall. Also up the hill are the Hebron Evangelical Church and the Aberdeen Unitarians.
You will also notice a number of former church buildings that have changed use but still retain many of their features
