Saint-Jean Baptiste de la Salle Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

onecrazycanadian: Hi,

The low health score on this cache has remained below 60 since my last contact. I see no sign of any maintenance being done to correct this and I have had no response from the owner since my last contact. Due to the lack of response I have no idea if any corrective action has been taken or if the owner has confirmed the cache is still in place. Consequently I am archiving the cache at this time. If the owner does happen to complete the maintenance required and wish to activate the cache again just let me know and I will consider unarchiving it once the issue is resolved.

Thanks!

ÉGLISE SAINT-JEAN BAPTISTE DE LA SALLE – CANADA150

*Please BYOP* You are looking for a black bison tube.

The Roman Catholic church, Saint-Jean Baptiste de la Salle, is part of the Diocese of Prince Albert.

In 1905, the Saint Angèle mission, which had existed in the region since the 1880s, became the French-Canadian parish of Saint-jean Baptiste de la Salle. The coming of the railway meant that many colonists settled in the region, which is the reason the mission became a parish.

The current church was built in 1950. The stained glass windows and the central doorway are Romanesque in style, with semi-circular arches at the top.
