For the past couple of years (minus last year when I was moving) I have hosted an International EarthCache Day event. This year I'll be in the Baraboo area which is a fantastic spot to celebrate geology, don't ya think?!
Who: Cachers from near or far and their muggle friends and family
What: It's International EarthCache Day and the beginning of Earth Science Week and I'm excited to celebrate at this famous (really!) outcrop! This will be a meet-n-greet type of event. We'll chat and hang out near the Van Hise rock outcrop for a while. There may or may not be donuts. I should also have some travel bugs to hand out! This all depends on how organized I am while camping (admittedly, questionable).
When: Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 9:30 - 10 am
Where: Van Hise Rock, Hwy 136, Rock Springs, WI
Why: Well, because I'm a geology nerd! There is an EarthCache here and many others in the area as well and I hope you have time to visit at least one of them today (note: this is not part of the event). Did you know that for finding an EarthCache this weekend, you will earn a digital souvenir on your profile page? Score!
Please RSVP by logging your Will Attend below. I hope to see you there!
