2017 is the third Geocaching Adventure in the City of Auburn, Washington. Auburn Parks, Arts and Recreation, auburntourism.com, and the WSGA are hosting the Auburn Geocaching Adventure 2017 - 20 caches placed in Auburn. The geocaches highlight some specific works of art, some parks, and some areas of general interest in Auburn. We hope you enjoy visiting the Auburn area, learning about its public art.
This cache is located in one of the more modern Auburn parks. Lea Hill Park has some great amenities. There is a skate park, an enclosed mini soccer field, a large grassy play area/baseball field, a cool climbing structure for the kiddos and a nice picnic area. It is a peaceful location for local Green River Community College students to relax and study. Additionally, there is the neat little piece of art that is the draw for this particular cache hide.
The art (pictured below) that is the focus of this hide has a farm theme with a young calf deftly balancing a potted plant on his back! Please stop to take a picture of your search crew next to the art and include it in the gallery. The cache is hidden about 100 feet away from the sculpture beneath the foliage of a conifer. Enjoy the park and happy hunting!
