Geocache Description:

This is Team HurriKane's first multi cache.
Hope you enjoy it.

The cache is NOT at the above coordinates.
You can however have a seat here, relax, and start working out the numbers for your next waypoint.

It is all only a short walk away...

But first... a little bit about the name

Last weekend I attended a Resilient Kids conference.  One of the speakers, Hugh Van Cylenberg, spoke about Gratitude.  He talked about a little boy from a very poor village in Nepal, who had no parents, nowhere permanent to live,  yet was always smiling.  Despite what he didn't have, he was grateful.  Grateful for what he did have.  Grateful for 'dis', the shoes he had on his feet (which he'd outgrown so had cut a hole in the top for his toes), grateful for 'dis' - the small  bowl of rice for lunch at school every day, grateful for 'dis' -the piece of cardboard he used for a mattress & a blanket...

I too am grateful for Dis.  'Dis' is when you can't quite say 'this'. Geocaching has taken me many places I'd never have otherwise known about.   Dis walk takes me along a path I frequent often; where I see blue wrens playing, hear magpies warbling, kookaburras laughing, watch birds of prey circling high in the air, sometimes a kangaroo, very rarely a snake.   Dis path, if you follow it south and head through the grass, leads to the asylum and it's beautiful buildings. (and some more of our geocaches). You can see aeroplanes landing and taking off.  Do I dream of far off places & wish to be travelling?  No not really.  I am quite happy with Dis!
