I was here a few months ago, when the original crossing was still in place. This was a crossing with plenty of character, and some impressive pipes. - I earmarked it for a cache, and as going to call it Padovans Pipes. However, today, when I came to place a cache, everything had changed! There was a brand new crossing! I don't think it has as much character as the old one, but if you look carefully, you will find evidence of the original crossing! For starters, the builders kindly left part of the original deck, which showed the date the old one was built! That was back in 1967 - 50 years ago! They have also inscribed the new crossing date (2017), so it will be interesting to see if this one also lasts 50 years!
