En matière de Geocaching il y a des caches que l’on oublie rapidement et celles qui laissent de superbes souvenirs.
Dans ce domaine certains géocacheurs sortent du lot, comme HECKEBUE.
A chacune de ses caches correspond une référence historique , culturelle , géographique , une anecdote locale ou un petit défi sportif .
- n’y allez pas seul - , - une corde peut être utile – Pour les amateurs de pierres et de rando sportives - chaussez vos godillots ou vos running cela ne pourra que faire du bien - à ne pas faire en chaussures du dimanche- Regardez où vous mettez les pieds, vous aurez des surplombs devant vous - c’était la griffe de Heckebue .
Alors quand on cherche une de ses caches, on se tourne instinctivement vers le rocher le plus haut.
Nous lui dédions cette cache, placée au sommet des ruines du Ramstein, un condensé de son œuvre : un site historique , une petite marche d’approche, de beaux rochers , des souterrains ,une courte grimpette et un beau panorama sur Baerenthal , son village.
Merci à tous les géocacheurs qui , grâce a l’adoption des caches, permettent à l’œuvre de Heckebue de perdurer.
POUR VALIDEZ VOTRE VISITE , vous devez
-Vous rendre à la table d’orientation au sommet du château d’où vous pourrez admirer le pays de Heckebue .
- m’envoyer un mail avec :
---la distance marquée sur la table d’orientation entre le château du Ramstein et la Pierre des 12 Apôtres.
--- le nombre d’autres châteaux cités sur la table d’orientation .
-Avec votre log, poster une photo de vous sur le site du château , pas forcément au sommet . Laissez aller votre esprit créatif…
Montrer son visage est optionnel pour garantir la confidentialité de chacun .

In memory of HECKEBUE
In matter of Géocaching there are caches that we quickly forget, and those that leave us with great memories.
In that field, some geocachers stand out, like HECKEBUE.
Each of his caches was linked to a historical, geographical, or cultural reference, a local anecdote, or a sport challenge.
‘’don’t go there alone’’, ‘’ a rope may be needed’’, ‘’to those who like rocks and sportive hiking’’, ‘’get your sport shoes on, it can only be a good thing’’, ‘’don’t try this with your sunday shoes on’’, ‘’watch your steps, there will be cliffs’’ - this was Heckebue’s touch.
So when looking for one of his caches, you instinctivly turn towards the highest rock.
We dedicate this cache to him. It is placed on top of the Ramstein ruins, condensing his work : a historical site, a little walking to get there, beautiful rocks, underground tunnels, a steep way up, and a great view over Baerenthal, his hometown.
Thanks to all the geocachers who allowed Heckebue’s work to live on by adopting his caches.
TO VALIDATE YOUR LOG, you will need to :
- get to the orientation table on top of the castle, where you can stare at Heckebue’s homeland.
- send me an email with the following information :
--- distance between Ramstein castle and the Pierre des 12 Apôtres (indicated on the table)
--- number of other castle mentioned on the table
- when you log the cache, add a picture of yourself on the castle’s site, not necess ary on the top, be creative…). Showing your face is optional, feel free to remain anonymous.
