L'été dernier j'ai eu la bonne surprise de me voir nominé pour poser une des nouvelles caches virtuelles. Du coup, je voudrais remercier tous ceux qui ont apprécié mes trop peu nombreuses caches.
Les lieux:
La petite cité de Locronan fut d'abord liée à un lieu de culte druidique situé dans le bois du Névet tout proche. A l'époque Romaine, deux voies de circulation s'y croisent. Puis le site est christianisé par Saint Ronan qui lui laissera son nom. La culture du chanvre et la mise en place d'une industrie de tissage en particulier destinée aux voiles de marine feront connaître une période de prospérité à la ville du XIVème au XVIIIème siècle. Jusqu'à ce que la mise en place d'une manufacture au bagne de Brest impose une concurrence trop sévère.
De nos jours, le village garde de cette période de prospérité un charme très typique lié à l'architecture très bien conservée.
Attention, parkings payants lors de la saison touristique
Mais passons au vif du sujet: pour loguer cette cache: rien de très compliqué joindre à votre log une photo de vous (de face ou de dos à votre convenance ) ou de votre GPS à côté du puits qui se trouve aux coordonnées me suffira... toutefois...
Même si cela n'est pas obligatoire, il serait amusant que vous portiez sur vous de manière visible au moins un élément de costume traditionnel breton. Que ce soit coiffe bigoudène, bragou braz ou autre, peu importe.
Les costumes bretons "fait maison" sont les bienvenus, et une coiffe bigoudène en rouleau de papier essuie-tout me conviendra parfaitement.

Last summer I had the nice surprise to be chosen for placing one of the new virtual caches. So to begin with I just wanted to thank all whom voted for one of my too few caches.
The place:
The small city of Locronan was first linked to a druidic sacred place located in the wood of Névet. During the roman period two roads crossed there. Then the place was converted to catholicism by Saint Ronan whose name was given to the town. Hemp cultivation and weaving especilally for marine sails brought a period of prosperity to the town from XIVth to XVIIIth century. Then, the establishment of a manufacture inside Brest's prison caused too severe a competition for Locronan to maintain the activity.
Nowadays, the village still retains a typical look inherited from this prosperous time due to the well preserved achitecture.
Warning: during the touristic season you'll be asked to pay a toll to park your car.
But lets switch to the main part, to log this cache: nothing really difficult, including in your log a picture of yourself (front or back as you prefer) or your GPS and the well located at the cache's coordinates will suffice... however...
Though not mandatory, it would be nice to have you wearing at least one piece of traditional breton costume. Be it the "Bigoudène headdress", bragou braz or anything else it does not matter.
Home made costumes ar also fine and, for example's sake, I would be happy with a bigoudène headdress made of a paper towels roll.
