Take Wing / Touch Down Virtual Cache

V Bratislave tých lietadiel naozaj nelieta toľko ako v neďalekej Viedni, či sesterskej Prahe. Tu je milovník lietadiel vďačný za každý kus, čo sa mihne na letisku. Niekedy má človek šťastie a zhliadne aj niekoľko príletov/odletov za hodinu. Inokedy je tu ticho desiatky až stovky minút. Preto je podtitulom k názvu tejto virtuálky “...taká meditatívnejšia plane spotterská.”

Súradnice WP1 označujú skvelé pozorovateľské miesto, z ktorého máte šancu zažiť prelet pristávajúcich hučiacich strojov pár desiatok metrov nad vašimi hlavami. WP2 – Spotting platform zas označujú miesto, na ktorom letisko vybudovalo plošinu pre pozorovateľov. Technické spracovanie plošiny v porovnaní s vyhliadkami na väčších európskych letiskách približne proporčne zodpovedá veľkosti letiskovej prevádzky. No dobre, je to šupácky naukladaná kôpka nepoužívaných betónov, takže okrem vyhliadky je to vlastne aj taký malý pomníček príslovečnej slovenskej tvorivosti.

Prejdime k veci – k zalogovaniu tejto kešky treba:

1. Odfotiť seba alebo svoje GPS na WP1 (Runway 31 - s preletom pristávajúcich lietadiel nad hlavou) alebo WP2 (Spotters’ platform).

2. Odfotiť tu pristávajúce alebo vzlietajúce lietadlo. Extra body získavate, ak sa vám podarí odfotiť lietadlo s niektorými, ale nie všetkými kolesami dotýkajúcimi sa pristávacej dráhy :)

Obidve fotky, samozrejme, priložte, prosím, k logu.

Ak ste vyznávačmi domácej prípravy, určite oceníte stránku s plánovanými príletmi/odletmi.

A ak máte chuť na prechádzku/bajkovú jazdu okolo letiska, možno oceníte aj mapku priezorov v plote.

Bratislava airport traffic does not compare to that of nearby Vienna or Prague. If you love spotting airplanes, you are thankful for every single piece that appears here. Sometimes, when you are lucky, you can see a couple of landings/take offs during a single hour. Other times there is a silence lasting for tens to hundreds of minutes. Therefore the subtitle to this virtual cache goes like this: „… a rather meditative plane spotters‘ cache.“

The coordinates of WP1 mark a lovely spot on the prolongation of the runway 31, where the landing airplanes fly just dozens of meters above your head. WP2 marks the spotting platform. Well, that is a rather opulent name for a bunch of old concrete blocks stacked together, but let‘s say that the fancyness of this platform (in comparison to other european cities’ airports) is proportional to Bratislava airports traffic.

Let’s get to the point. To log this cache:

1. Visit either of the waypoints WP1 or WP2. Take a selfie or a picture of your GPS device at one of these waypoints.

2. Take a picture of a plane landing/taking off from this airport. Bonus points if you can manage to take a picture of an airplane touching the runway with at leat one but not with all its wheels :)
