Kungstornet - Virtual Reward

Kungstornet är ett elva meter högt utsiktstorn i stål på Långberget i Strängnäs, Sörmland. Förslaget om att bygga utsiktstornet kom 2014, och på hösten 2017 så var tornet färdigbyggt. Dock dröjde det tills februari 2018 innan slutbesiktningen blev klar innan och besökare kunde ta sig upp i tornet. Från Kungstornet så har man en (vid fint väder) fantastisk utsikt över Strängnäs och Mälardalen.
Parkeringsplatser finns det gott om runtomkring resecentrum. Vissa är tidsbegränsade så läs på innan du parkerar. Vägen upp till Kungstornet består av en trevlig promenad längs de fina stigarna på Långberget.
För att logga denna virtuella cache så ska du besöka Kungstornet och ta en bild med dig (ansiktet behöver inte synas) och/eller din GPS med utsikten från platsen. Du måste inte ta dig ända upp i tornet ifall du har höjdskräck.

Kungstornet (swedish, roughly translated to the kings tower) is a eleven metres high observation post made out of steel and located at Långberget in Strängnäs, Sörmland. The proposal to build the tower came in 2014 and it was completed in the fall in 2017. In februari 2018 the tower was opened to the public. From Kungstornet you get a (if the weather is nice) amazing view over Strängnäs and lake Mälaren.
There are several parking lots around the station. Some of them are only for a short time, so make sure that you park in a good place. The way up to the tower is a nice litle walk along the paths.
In order to log this virtual cache you have to visit Kungstornet and take a picture of you (your face does not need to be shown) and/or your GPS with the view from the site. If you are scared of hights then you do not have to climb all the way up the tower.
