Erzsébet Báthory, grófka, manželka Františka Nádašdyho, chcela byť stále mladá a krásna. Podľa legiend najskôr pila odvary z byliniek, až prišla na to, že najlepším elixírom mladosti je panenská krv. Jej štyria pomocníci - Ján Ujvári, alias Ficko, Dorota Sentešová, Ilona/Helena Jóová a Katarína Benická - začali do kaštieľa privádzať mladé devy. Dievčatá týrala horiacimi sviečkami, rozpáleným železom, pichala ihlicami, polievala studenou vodou na mraze. Mnohokrát tieto nevinné obete nakoniec zavraždili a grófka sa v ich krvi kúpala.

 

Takmer štvrťstoročie sa oddávala beztrestne svojim sadistickým vášňam. Až 29. decembra 1610 ju prichytil palatín Juraj Thurzo v Nádašdyovskom kaštieli pri čine ako mučí mladé dievčatá. Báthoryová bola súdená a potom uväznená v obytnej veži na Čachtickom hrade. Nasledujúce necelé 4 roky jej života, až do jej smrti 21. augusta 1614, sú zahalené rúškom tajomstva, rovnako ako je zahalená tajomstvom jej smrť a miesto posledného odpočinku. 2.úloha
-navštíviť Čachtické panstvo Alžbety Báthoriovej, ktoré sa nachádza cca 2 km od úvodných súradníc. Tu sa treba odfotiť v "hradnom okne" podľa fotospoileru, hneď za vstupnou bránou, kam ukazuje šípka. K tomuto otvoru vedie prístupová cestička priamo za prvou bránou. Na uvedenom mieste nie je ešte platený vstup.
 

Nepovinné úlohy

Countess Erzsébet Báthory, wife of František Nadasdy, wanted to be young and beautiful. According to the legend, she first drank herbal debris until she came to the conclusion that the best elixir of youth is virgin blood. Her four servants - Ján Ujvári, alias Ficko, Dorota Sentešová, Ilona / Helena Jóová and Katarína Benická - have begun to bring young girls to the manor-house. The girls were burned by candles and hot iron, squeezed by needles, soaked by cold water on the frost. Many times, these innocent victims have finally been murdered and the countess has bathed in their blood.

 

Almost a quarter of a century she had been indulging in her sadistic passions. Until December 29, 1610, when she was caught by palatine Juraj Thurzo while she was torturing young girls in Nádasddy's chateau. Báthory was judged and then imprisoned in a tower on Čachtice Castle. The following less than 4 years of her life, until her death on August 21, 1614, are covered by shadow of a mystery, just as mysterious is her death and the last resting place. Báthory is probably the most known Hungarian countess abroad, although her fame mainly comes of her bloodshed. She also got into the Guinness Book of Records as the worse female mass murderer with 650 victims. The figure of Erzsébet Báthory has become an inspiration for many literary works, poems, novels and films.

The listed coordinates will bring you to square in Čachtice, where Bátoryčka has been revived thanks to the woodcarver Jozef Chromek. The legendary “bloody countess” has returned home oversized, after nearly four hundred years since her death. The statue is cut from a single piece of massive poplar wood, about five meters high and weighs five thousand kilograms. At these coordinates, do not look for a physical container, it's a virtual cache. There are two simple tasks to complete before you can claim your “found it” log.

Elisabeth Bathory, Gräfin und Gattin von Franz Nádasdy, wollte ewig jung und schön bleiben. Nach einer Legende trank sie deswegen viele Wurzgetränke. Später ist sie aber zu einer Meinung gekommen, dass das beste Jugendelixir die Blut von Jungrauen ist. Ihre vier Diener - Johannes Ujváry /anders Ficzko genannt/, Dorothea Szentes, Helena Jó und Katharina Beneczky – haben auf Befehl von Bathory viele Jungfrauen auf die Burg gelockt und dort sie auf vielfache Weise gefoltert. Laut Aussagen von mehreren Zeugen waren die Mädchen gefesselt, geschlagen, mit der Schere geschnitten, mit heißem Eisen und Wasser verbrannt oder mit Wasser im Frost übergossen. Zuletzt waren die Frauen getötet und in ihrer Blut hat sich Elisabeth gebadet.

 

Fast ein ganzes Jahrhundertsviertel hat sie diese sadistischen Akte straflos getan. Erst am 29. Dezember 1610 war sie von Palatin Georg Thurzo bei einem aus ihrer Verbrechen erwischt. Sie geriet vor dem Gericht und war zum Gefängniss verurteilt. Es handelte sich um Hausgefängniss auf der Burg in Čachtice. Die letzten vier Lebensjahre bis zu ihrem Tod am 21. August 1614 sind geheimnisvoll und geheimnisvoll ist auch ihre Ruhestatt, denn sie bleibt noch auch heutzutage unbekannt. 2. Aufgabe

Zur erwähnten Maueröffnung führt ein Pfad gleich hinter dem ersten Eingagstor, was auch der Abbiegepfeil zeigt. Auf diesem Platz ist der Eintritt noch kostenfrei.
