Geocache Description:

This virtual reward cache places you at the residence and studio of José Rodríguez Fuster, a cherished Cuban artist and the creator of a sprawling and fantastical work of public art - Fusterlandia!

Fuster moved into the neighborhood of Jaimanitas in 1975, and set out to transform it. He started first with his own property and continued from there. Over the next few decades, half the neighborhood had been decorated in color and whimsy. Fuster's work is not just limited to buildings, as it also includes street signs, benches, fountains, bus stops, and more. His surreal imagination has brightened and emboldened the once-impoverished area with a rainbow of strange and enchanting folk-style art.

You will need to visit the posted coords, take a picture with the house, property, or significant artwork in the background, and either send it to me or post it with your log. The on-site picture MUST include either yourself or, if you are camera shy, a piece of paper with your caching name written on it.

PLEASE NOTE: Hours of operation are 9:30am - 4:00pm.

Special thanks to Rachell, Tatortott, and Team 5-12 for their inspiration for this virtual cache - the first virtual in Cuba!
